The so called city upon a hill that the puritans adenvisioned when they came to america was quickly dissolving. They fled england in 16 20 because they felt the church of england was being corrupted by outside forces, like the roman catholic church. Like the early mormons, puritans seemed to sort of piss off and put out pretty much everyone they came in to contact with. The rest of them wento the dominican republic,. I mean they went all these like, nontit folk in england! And can you imagine just going there? It's totally different from what we now call unamentalism - which is even more of a stripp down
