The Breakdown of the Storytelling

The two writers of this movie were Phil Lord and Rodney Rothman. The animators have been on Twitter talking about the movie constantly. They said it's because Lord and Miller have a process where they like to overstuff movies with ideas and then pair them back. So, you know, this script is 135 pages, which is long. It took me two hours, two hours and changed to read. A friend of mine also noticed that they used tight format as opposed to Final Draft or normal format. Which I saw that there are now that do that too.
