Is There a Crisis in Our Political Landscape?

I think there are changes that could be made now, especially with how the rich are taxed. But unfortunately, in our political landscape, i just don't think we're going to see that happen. The government is run by corporations and therefore by the ultra wealthy. So the politicians did everything right within their power, and it still led to collapse. In reality, the self preservation of politicians would likely lead to choices being made during a collapse that would speed it up and amplify it. Even to day, we can already see the potential for violence and hate caused by rhetoric and political devisiveness in our two party system.
