The author was writing during the pandemic. He seemed much less confident in his own work and very insecure about like maybe why am I publishing this at all? You know, and so I wonder if some of that the self awareness of like making jokes about to his editor or making jokes of like, this book is probably shit, but you already paid me. So ha ha, I win kind of felt like maybe he doesn't know why people might want to read it. Like why am I reading this book? You know,. which does feel like a very 20, 20 State of mind.
