The Trial of a New Yorker
A homeowner in Watertown went out to his backyard where he had a boat and it had canvas covering it. He noticed why the police and they came in and the defendant was actually hiding in the boat. The defense strategy, perhaps to encourage some sympathy for the defendant that law enforcement overdid the armed assault on the boat. They wanted the boat to brought in so the jurors could see the number of bullet holes in the boat and the blood that was inside.
