Many athletes are trying to start out with a MAF training approach, the base building. Yet they're still doing five days a week cross training or high interval training. Anaerobic training produces things like lactic acid and induce stress which impairs fat burning potentially. When we have a great aerobic system, it's much less of a problem or not a problem initially. If you're willing to sacrifice your health for more fitness, that's sad.
