In Mark 8 to 10, just after the close of that section, Jesus heals a blind man and he does it in two stages. And then Jesus healed a blind man again at the end of Mark 10. It's really fascinating. In the history of interpretation, Mark has been seen as a sloppy narrator,. A sloppy gospel composer, a sloppy writer. Not only is his greek really bad, but he forgets by the time he's writing Mark 10, he forgets that he's already included an episode of healing of a blind man.
