Brian: I kind of like the idea of starting this way so long as the person isn't at a unhealthy bodyweight just because it gives him more bandwidth to really focus on what's going to impact their training the most. "I didn't get the idea of bulking until I surrounded myself with with bodybuilders when I could body very bodybuilding message board forms" He says he doesn't start counting calories till around the same time that Brian did and then eventually adds layers of complexity into his diet in an effort to look better, which is how weightlifting works for many people.
