Getting Subject Matter Knowledge to Optimize Models

I have a negative reinforcement personally. I hate revisiting something that I messed up. Worst thing that can interrupt that, that flow of working on something new that you want to build right the right way is pager duty. It can be that which will derail your work for a couple hours or it could be weeks long investigation of reverse engineering why this thing is so broken.
