Is It Safe to Say That the Organism Growing in the Ampaimas Is the Same Organism That Caused Pneumonia?
It's really pretty rare in my experience that you actually grow something out of the fluid, the pleural fluid. The other place that you see this really commonly is with endocarditis and septic embolah. I would say I may have placed more chest tubes for that than I have for a complicated perenemonic effusion. So that's just something to keep an eye out for if someone has septicembolah to consider. Do they have an infected space to go with that?
