Todd Rungren - Hello It's Me and I Saw the Light
Todd rungren started out in a band called the NAS who formed a 1967 and they're mostly known for their song Open My Eyes. The second rungren album, the Ballad of Todd Rungren didn't get much attention mainly because of record label distribution nonsense. In 1970 he put together a band called Runt and recorded a self-titled album made me for the sake of getting a bunch of songs he'd written down on tape. That album ended up having a surprise hit called We Got to Get You a Woman which contains the line they may be stupid but they sure are fun ensuring its place in history as a song women really hate.
