Wolves have been expanding back into human occupied territories after centuries of eradication at our hands. One thousand wolves were killed in just 60 hours of hunting in february 20 21, a killing spree that was made legal by donald trumps removal from endangered species list. In both europe and america, their populations began to climb. Wolves padded out of the italian appenines into the rest of europe via the alps. And canadian wolves started crossing the border, going south. Today, there are between 250 and ree hundred thousand wolves on the planet.
