Is It Time for Governments to Give You Back That Freedom?

If there's anything approaching a right in a democracy, it's that governments don't give you those freedoms. The essential freedoms of conscience, of belief, of speech, of association and freedom even of property are not theirs to give. And when lost recovered, the government can't give you back a freedom which you don't particularly want. But most people don't even understand what's being done to them, o care very much.
