When we learn that emotions take control of us, we develop systems to not lose control. One of those symptoms almost sounds a little bit like dissociation. It's basically like if the emotions are too much for us to handle, our mind will kind of separate ourselves from it. The other really interesting thing mouse is that when i was training to become a psychiatrist, it was kind of strange, because out of all my colleagues, in a sense, i was the best at being able to understand a peop experience with dissociation.
