Is the Quantity of Money the More Important Thing?

The amount of money is the denominator, which seems a lot more important than the marginal cost of financing a project. I don't know if you have a more nuanced opinion than I do there. We spend all of our time guessing whether Fed funds is going to be 25 bips this way or 25 bips that way. Meanwhile, the Fed is doing whatever 90 billion a month of QT or something like that. It's really hard to say how that change and liquidity is affecting things. The velocity of money counts as well, but that is more volatile.
