The Story of Biosphere 2
In 1993, Steve Bannon was tapped by Ed Bass to overhaul space-venture biospheres. In September 1994, just six months into the second mission, he shut it down completely. Columbia ran Biosphere 2 until 2003, and eventually the University of Arizona took over. The original crew that survived two years under a dome continued to work on important ecological projects.
