Utilitarianism - What's the Greatest Good for the Most People?
Bentham's utilitarianism is the idea that what does the greatest good for the greatest number of people is the best form of government or governance. He later repented of putting it that way, but he was certainly on the right track. Numbers come into it, "but it's not always a question about what's best for the most people," Bentham says.
