The Importance of Rhyme in Poetry

Milton is using this hard and it's not like he invented it, but maybe nobody before him had used it to the degree that he uses. It allows for a certain an added degree of multi valency that available necessarily when you're end stopping lines. Milton is not doing this just for either laziness or just for fun. He's making a point and with it. And we're going to talk about that a little bit in some specific instances.
