Reeves and the Death of a Black Cook
In 1884, Reeves killed three outlaws while they were laughing at him. He was indicted for first degree murder and held in jail for six months until he could make bond. His own son had been charged with murdering his wife and was somewhere hiding out in Indian territory. After returning from one of his trips to deliver prisoners to federal jail,. It took him two weeks to get him but Reeves returned over to the court where he later turned himself into authorities.
