When you're exhibiting kindness, it's actively willing the good of the person in front of you. It also enables us to understand that I have certain things that I've been given to say and that I'm carrying with the authority to carry it. Sometimes even what are the motives of the people with whom I'm talking. That's often, Jesus knows immediately what's in the heart of a person we don't. We can both stand with conviction on the ideas that we hold. And we can have a view of what ultimately is in the best interest of flourishing for those people.
