The Irony of Jazz in the 1990s

When jazz was came to Shanghai in the 1920s and 30s, Chinese people had access to it. In the 1990s, they loved jazz and players loved jazz, but they couldn't find it. A foreigner like me would come with some cassette tapes, DVDs, and they'd say, I borrow these. And they were taken off and immediately copied about 800,000 times.
