Beta Lactam TDM: A Decentralized Stewardship Model
We have developed a brief training module for them to view just explaining beta lactam TDM, some fundamental concepts and basic science. Once they've viewed that, they can freely order a level as well as a serum creatinine that's missing from the patient's lab work. The recommendation is to target free minimum concentration to MIC ratios of four. For those high inoculum infections, we shoot for the higher PKPD target.
