The Role of Education in the Job Market

The job market for economists still works exactly the same. We interview people at a meeting, a general economics meeting in January and then we offer them jobs. And so I think that it is becoming an issue and it's something we need to deal with. Although it's hard for, we can't easily reproduce a spaceship. If the James Webb Space Telescope has some results and then you say, well, I won't believe it until it's reproduced. That could be kind of expensive even by NASA standards.
