Is There a Future for Routing Nodes?
The more expensive and on-chain transaction becomes, the harder it might be for people to set up a successful routing node. And then there's also an issue of like we don't really know where fees on Bitcoin's base chain are going to settle over time. If I'm a new operator and it costs $1,000 to open a channel, well, that's, that changes the number of channels that I'm considering opening versus if they're a dollar to open. We don't know how far off it is. But in general, they tend to spike pretty quickly.
