The Effects of Phosphorus on Cell Numbers

Scientists have found a new organ in the intestines of fruit flies. Called PXO, it seems to be involved in phosphate and probably storing phosphate acting like a reservoir. This is important because phosphate is vital for growth - but not so well studied in animal tissues or cells. Take over the bones of that research in proceedings of the Royal Society B.
