Barack Obama and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright

Time Magazine's Mark Halprin says the Obamas didn't go to church during Reverend Jeremiah Wright's sermons. The Obama campaign decided not to give an honest answer because it would have hurt his image as a devout Christian, he says. Halprin: So politicians fake Christianity, Jews fake keeping kosher? Is this immoral behavior, or maybe a sign that the binds of religion are too tight? We remain a young nation, but in the words of scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.
