Philo's Theology of Forms

Philosopher has made a dramatic move in the direction of reconciling plato with judaism. He does not see the six days of creation as a literal reference to time. Rather, the numbers assigned to each day have an allegorical or symbolic value. In another anticipation of later platonic doctrine, philo uses the greek word logos to describe the forms in so far as they serve as god's instruments in making the world.
