The Soul in Christianity
In christianity, the soul is completely diametrically opposed to the body. The flesh is sinful because of original sin while the soul is this rial thing - a sort of magical thing. And it serves ideologically, metaphysically as a core. It's source of their free will, of their morality and essence of human being. In christian terms, in christian terms that means 'the physical world', which is devil-made.
