The Relationship Between Race and the History of the Party
There are elements in which Chinese anti-Chinese sentiments are at the very pick, nativism is very much present. The approaches that are kind of flirting in one way or another with this scientific theories of race tend to be more compatible with running on the ballot. On the other hand, you have the internationalists was strategy is really incompatible with this approach. They tend to be focusing more on trade unionism. So by focusing on class, and by leaving race aside, you can really be consistent with working class internationalism. But you can only do that in the context of Gilded Age United States through trade unionism and not through the ballot box.
