I think direct questioning is very important and that would be what I would employ but I really like the idea of your scale. To use that one to ten system to ask someone to assess themselves and compare it day to day gives you a much greater idea as to how big of a problem is yeah. PHQ-9 GAD anxiety scores so if you're making referrals to liaison psychiatry and you can say look this is what they've scored on thePHQ-9 the GAD-7 you're more likely to get a consult in the American terminology.
