The Death of a Young Woman

Diane Williams, 17, was last seen leaving her boyfriend's house at 10.30pm on September 5. Her mother Margaret stayed up waiting for Diane to come home from the bus stop where she had been waiting with other passengers. The next morning, Leon saw a truck pull over by the side of the Interstate 295 highway and learned that his daughter wasn't there. Police in Prince George's County, Maryland found an unidentified body lying face down in the grass near the interstate. A medical examiner determined it must have been strangled before being left out overnight. It is believed this would be around 11:50pm - just long after saying goodbye to her boyfriend James. She died shortly after midnight
