Cancer started as a small cluster in one vertebrae expanded throughout her spine and pushed its way forward into her sternum and her rip cage, all within four months. The night before her death, we had a dinner party at her house, at her request. We made a beautiful feast of roast chicken, colorful age, strawberry short cake, sparkling wine. Our health care system policies and regulations are intended to protect and support us. But it wasn't our decision to this was our mam's call.
