Do You Have a Transparency Principle?

In 19 a, i think it was 19 93. People were saying that my straightforwardness made people feel bad and demoralized them. And then i sort of wrestle with the question. Should i not be totally straightforward and have this radical transparency, or should we be straightforward? And how to do it?
