Do You Need a Logical Theorem?

I don't particularly like philosophical theories that are affirmative and tell me what to do. And I don't want to write theory that tells other people how it should be done. But do we need one? That's an open question. Do we need one that tells us how hammering and suing hangs together or rather when to hammer or when to sue? No, it's a question I wrestle with a lot.
