The population of latin america is growing older at a faster rate than the global population. Older people are more vulnerable to the effects, to the health effects of extreme temperatures. And so you really have these converging crises, which could really make rising temperatures a very significant driver of mortality in latin America. It's really important to start measuring what's happening now with a look towards the future for how we can prevent these deaths down the road.
