The Dream Ego's Receptive Attitude

At some level, even our dream ego kind of gets it. She doesn't follow the urge of someone to kill the snake. She just puts it back in the water. So back it goes into the source of life, which is water, ponds, ocean,. It's generative. And at the end, she hears the old white cat, the feminine principle in this dream, saying the snake is not trying to hurt them. That the ego's attitude is to protect the cats. But then something much more instinctive comes in and says, well, there's another attitude we need to have about whatever the snake represents. The unconscious is trying to change the perception of what the snake represents
