The Importance of Work in Exodus 31

Exodus 31 says that God sanctified the day because he rested from all his malaqto, his work. We don't even we don't even see the evening and morning refrain here. Like this day is totally set apart. So I don't think we necessarily are unable to appreciate it the way they would back then.
