Independent Media Needs to Survive in a Capitalistic Model

I think independent media is critical in countering the narratives that individuals come across in corporate media. We used to have something called the fairness doctrine, which was a far better system for journalism. What partially fuels that is the economic frustration and anxiety people are facing. They want to scapegoat. And what you have is a Republican Party that continuously gives them scapegoats; they happen to be the least powerful people in the country.
