There are some questions about where this election takes us in terms of predictive value for the presidential election. The one interesting part is that trump may declare his presidential entry into the race before the mid term elections, which could exert undue skew. And so it's an unusual variable to have a president who can be so polarizing also become a candidate so early. Really changes the game, and it puts a very humbling veneer on what was already a very difficult problem to analyze.
