Bead was a prolific Bible commentator. He collected commentaries of the church fathers and repackaged them in his commentaries. Bead also wrote biblical sermons, especially on the Gospels. And here enters Paul the Deacon: A Benedictine monk in the 700s. His homilies were distributed among monasteries to be studied or re preached.
