Freud's Psychopathology
Freud's fame grew. He was invited to america in 19 o nine, and he was impressed to see people reading the psycho pathology of everyday life. The problem was that he wasn't out there calling himself an adventurer and a conquistodore, but presenting himself as a man of science. And for his followers, that raised issues. If you're spending your own life and career trying to believe it and maybe build on it, eventually you have to point it out when the evidence isn't there, or there's evidence in dispute.
