Heavy Water Reactors Are the Death of Easy Narratives
Heavy water reactors as they exist today can be refueled without being turned off. This is a feature that could be abused to make materials that could be separated into uranium and plutonium later. Clean Core Thorium Energy is combining mainly thorium with a little bit of enriched uranium in order to make fuel for these heavy water reactors. It keeps all the advantages of heavy water reactors but uses seven times less fuel.
