The Role of Glucose in the Brain
The brain actually stores glycogen. Do you know where it stores it? Astrocytes. There's two main types of cells in the brain. Neurons that do all the work, the communication or electrical activity work. Glial cells are to the supporting cells. One type are astrocytes. And they're the ones that sort of really take care. They're the best friend of the neuron.
