The Counterfactual Story of the GDR
In Albania, the state started with first a very loose affiliation to Yugoslavia. It was pragmatically following the Soviet Union when it fell out with Yugoslavia for territorial reasons. Then it kind of isolated itself from the Soviet Union and allied with China. And then in the 80s, when the GDR was to Albanians, a kind of beacon of paradise of socialism. In some ways, that haunting of there is a Germany which is more than us never really weakens, does it?
