Cricket is a new type of microscope that can be used to capture high resolution images. The technology has been developed by scientists at the University of California, San Diego. It uses multiple microscopes with different focal lengths so they can get data from all parts of an area in one go. And it's being trialled on cancer patients who are very sensitive to light and have low levels of ionizing radiation.
