Biden's Unguarded Optimism About China
In the wake of Blinken's visit to China there was a lot of discussion on the Chinese internet. Many very popular people who write about China's foreign relations were sort of cautiously optimistic saying well you know this does appear to be an effort to open lines of communication. But they also had pride that China hasn't bent it hasn't accommodated itself to the bullying from the United States. Biden and his administration and America's political elites are very hostile to China, says Julian Zelizer.
