Is PLI a Good Idea?
The production-linked incentive scheme (PLI) has helped bring in private investment from abroad into the country. But whether we ought to be giving PLI to so many sectors is a debatable point, says Ravi Agrawal. He adds that unless our level of incentives are a fairly attractive level, they are not going to come to India and commit a large amount of investments.
