I think from what you're saying, what I understand is that there's this desire to cultivate the tension of desire before actually giving into it or resolving it in some way. Once whatever you want happens, the tension is collapsed. But it's in that moment of waiting and reinterpreting that waiting. It reminds me of like a time when, like you said, when you're waiting for a lover, you didn't necessarily know when they would arrive. Yes. At some point, maybe, you know, that was just not the default.
