The Cost of a Shutdown
CNN's John Sutter: All events like this are an opportunity for someone or another. How much has it cost us in terms of this shutdown to save however many lives we're going to be saving? We have decided to use our resources in the form of shutting down the economy so as to save lives that would have been lost otherwise, he says. But then we'll be losing them to all of the evils that come about with poverty and depression along with domestic violence.
