Zali's Win in 2019 Was a Win for Moderates With a Heart

There was a really growing frustration in my community about a member who had been there for a long time. I would say just generally coming across has been quite out of touch with the electorate, with a younger voter base. And so for me to step forward as an independent really gave, I think, an outlet for the community to get behind. They were excited. We saw growth, you know, volunteers, 1400 volunteers and enthusiasm for democracy that we just haven't seen for a longtime. This is a win for moderates with a heart.
